Purpose

This Responsible Use Policy establishes guidelines for the safe, ethical, and effective use of the Robofinity InsightDrive X1 thermal vision co-pilot system by customers in Canada. The policy applies to all users, purchasers, and operators of the InsightDrive X1, as distributed and supported by RWebZ, the exclusive representative of Robofinity in Canada.


1. Intended Use

  • The Robofinity InsightDrive X1 is designed as an advanced AI-powered thermal vision and dashcam system to enhance vehicle safety by detecting animals, pedestrians, and vehicles beyond the reach of headlights, even in darkness, fog, rain, or snow.

  • It is intended for use in private, commercial, and fleet vehicles to provide real-time hazard alerts and automatic thermal video recording for safer driving.


2. User Responsibilities

  • Installation: Only install the InsightDrive X1 in accordance with the official Robofinity installation manual. Improper installation may impair functionality or vehicle safety.

  • Operation: Operate the device as directed. Do not attempt to modify, disassemble, or tamper with the hardware or software.

  • Attention: The InsightDrive X1 is a driver assistance tool. Drivers remain fully responsible for vehicle control and must not rely solely on the device for collision avoidance.

  • Updates: Regularly check for firmware or software updates from Robofinity to ensure optimal performance and security.

  • Maintenance: Keep the device’s lens and sensors clean and unobstructed. Report any malfunctions to RWebZ or Robofinity Canada support promptly.


3. Privacy and Data Protection

  • Video Recording: The InsightDrive X1 records thermal video for safety purposes. Users must comply with Canadian privacy laws regarding video and data recording in public and private spaces.

  • Data Use: Do not share, publish, or distribute recorded footage without the consent of involved parties, except as required by law or for insurance purposes.

  • Security: Protect device access credentials and recorded data from unauthorized use.


4. Prohibited Uses

  • Impairment or Distraction: Do not use the device in any way that distracts from safe driving or impairs vehicle operation.

  • Surveillance: The InsightDrive X1 is not to be used for covert surveillance, stalking, or any unlawful monitoring of individuals.

  • Modification: Unauthorized modification or reverse engineering of the device or its software is strictly prohibited and voids warranty and support.


5. Compliance and Safety

  • Legal Compliance: Users must comply with all applicable Canadian federal, provincial, and municipal laws regarding the use of dashcams and driver assistance systems.

  • Environmental Standards: The InsightDrive X1 meets FCC, CE, and RoHS certifications, confirming compliance with safety and environmental standards.

  • Warranty: Use of the device outside the scope of this policy may void manufacturer warranty and local support eligibility.


6. Support and Reporting

  • Authorized Support: For installation, troubleshooting, or warranty claims, contact RWebZ or Robofinity Canada. Only authorized personnel should perform repairs or service.

  • Incident Reporting: Report any safety incidents, malfunctions, or suspected misuse to RWebZ or Robofinity Canada immediately.

By purchasing, installing, or operating the Robofinity InsightDrive X1, users acknowledge and agree to comply with this Responsible Use Policy. RWebZ and Robofinity Canada reserve the right to update this policy as technology, regulations, or best practices evolve.
